Volunteer opportunities are always available at Avidd & Bethel Ridge. We have need for people who want to share their talents at our group homes and supportive apartments or assist us with a variety of social and fundraising events. Annual Appeal

The Annual Appeal takes place in the fall of every year, but of course unsolicited donations are accepted at any time. We hope you will consider a donation in support of the programs and services we provide to individuals and families with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The funds we receive from the state never completely support all the services we offer, so we rely on the support of the community to make up the difference. All donations are tax-deductible.

Matching Gifts

Please consult with the human resource department of your company to inquire if your donation qualifies for their Matching Gift Program. These programs have many times doubled the amount of your donation. Call us at 973-664-1770 and we can help you arrange for your donation to go that much further.

Securities

Appreciated securities can provide an attractive means of giving. Through this type of gift, an individual can receive a charitable income tax deduction and avoid paying tax on the “capital gains” that would be due if the stocks were sold. A gift of securities may be made by transferring the stock to Avidd Community Services or Bethel Ridge Corp. It should not be sold to a broker; it must be transferred, which is a simple process.  Contact the Development Office at (973) 664-1770 x16 or email avidd@aviddnj.org for further information.

Bequest

Remembering Avidd & Bethel Ridge in your will or trust is a special way to ensure the continued excellence of Catholic education for future generations. A donor can indicate a certain item, an amount, or a percentage (the residue) of their estate - the remainder after all other heirs have been provided for.

Memorial Donations

Avidd & Bethel Ridge provides memorial cards to honor the memory of a loved one with a donation to support our programs.  Contact our Development Office for more information.

Vehicle Donations

We accept most cars, trucks, trailers, boats, RV’s, motorcycles, off road vehicles, heavy equipment and other motorized vehicles.  Vehicles do not need to be running.  Contact (855) 500-RIDE or visit https://careasy.org/nonprofit/special-homes-of-nj to arrange for pickup.

Donors should consult with tax advisors concerning the applicable federal and state tax law. Avidd Community Services of NJ & Bethel Ridge Corp. are 501(c)3 tax exempt, non-profit charitable organizations.
